Our story

Synergistic Outcomes was founded by Anil Salick in 2003, with the doors opening for business in 2004. What began as a focus on personal development and motivational programmes has evolved, steadily and deliberately, into a trusted consultancy specialising in strategic planning, applied learning, and talent assessments.

For over 22 years, the practice has partnered with corporates, public sector organisations, universities, and development institutions across South Africa and the African continent — helping leaders and managers navigate complexity, align teams, and deliver sustained performance.

What our name means

A philosophy, distilled into two letters.

Synergistic

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. When people and organisations work together with trust and clarity, the results are far more powerful than anyone could achieve alone — inspired by Stephen Covey's idea of interdependence.

Outcomes

Everything we do must lead to real, tangible change — not just activities, and not just nice workshops. Outcomes is our constant reminder that our work only matters when it makes a genuine difference for the people and organisations we serve.

For more than two decades, our work has been anchored in the quality of what happens in the room — the facilitation, the sense-making, the clarity of what clients take away. That remains the heart of the practice.

We're now extending that work in a new direction. Where it adds genuine value, we build tailored applications, dashboards, and follow-through tools that keep the value of an engagement alive long after the workshop ends. A strategy tracker for a leadership team. A capability dashboard for a learning programme. A lightweight app that turns a team agreement into a weekly practice.

About the founder

Anil Salick

Founder & Practice Lead

Anil has been working in this field since 1996 — more than 27 years of practice across personal development, leadership, strategy, and talent work. He founded Synergistic Outcomes in 2003 to bring this experience into a dedicated consultancy.

Based in Durban, Anil works with boards, executive teams, leaders, managers, academics, and professionals — bringing a calm, insight-driven approach to complex organisational challenges. Over the years he has supported more than 200 teams, across more than 30 industries, in 11 African countries.

The practice operates through Anil's leadership, supported by a trusted network of facilitators, coaches, and specialists drawn in where a client's needs require it.
